Toniq Live Limited
Effective Date: [DATE] Version: 2.0
This Cookie Policy explains how Toniq Live Limited ("Toniq," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the platform at toniq.events (the "Platform"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits. In this Policy, all such technologies are referred to as "cookies."
We set only strictly necessary cookies by default.
No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no third-party tracking technology is placed on your device unless and until you have given consent through our cookie banner. Declining consent does not restrict your ability to browse events, purchase tickets, or access your orders.
You may withdraw or vary your consent at any time through the cookie preferences control available on the Platform.
These cookies are required for the Platform to function and to keep your purchases secure. They cannot be disabled through our preference control, as the Platform cannot operate without them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|

Legal basis: these cookies are necessary for the provision of a service you have expressly requested, and consent is not required for them under the ePrivacy Directive or equivalent legislation.
Set only where you consent. Used to understand how the Platform is used so that we can improve it.
| Provider | Purpose | Data | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) | Product analytics: page views, checkout funnel progression, feature usage | Pseudonymous identifier, page URL, referrer, device and browser characteristics, interaction events | Up to 12 months |
Session recording is disabled across the Platform. We do not record your screen, keystrokes, or the contents of any form, and this applies without exception within checkout and payment pages.
Set only where you consent. These technologies enable Organisers to measure the effectiveness of their advertising for their own events.
| Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel) | Conversion measurement and audience attribution for Organiser advertising on Facebook and Instagram | Up to 90 days |
| TikTok Technology Limited (TikTok Pixel) | Conversion measurement and audience attribution for Organiser advertising on TikTok | Up to 13 months |

The events transmitted to these platforms correspond to the following stages of the purchase journey: viewing an event; commencing checkout; commencing payment; and completing a purchase.
These platforms act as independent or joint controllers in respect of the data they receive, and their use of that data is governed by their own privacy policies:
If you decline consent, none of these technologies is loaded and no data is transmitted to any of these platforms.
Organisers may configure their own advertising accounts to receive conversion data for their events. Organisers may supply only the account identifier of an advertising platform. They cannot supply, upload, or inject script, HTML, or any other executable code into the Platform.
This restriction is deliberate. It ensures that a compromised Organiser account cannot be used to execute arbitrary code within a purchaser's checkout session. All tracking script is assembled and loaded by Toniq, from the providers listed in Section 3.3 only, and only following consent.
When you first visit the Platform you are presented with a cookie banner offering a genuine choice between accepting and declining non-essential cookies. Declining is as straightforward as accepting. Your choice is recorded and respected on subsequent visits.
You may change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences control on the Platform. Withdrawal of consent takes effect immediately in respect of future processing and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Most browsers permit you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Instructions are available from your browser vendor. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Platform from functioning correctly, and in particular may prevent you from accessing orders and issued tickets.
You may also opt out directly with certain providers:
There is no industry consensus on the handling of "Do Not Track" browser signals, and the Platform does not currently respond to them. Our consent control provides equivalent and more granular protection.
Providers of analytics and advertising technologies are established outside the Hong Kong SAR, principally in the United States and the European Union. Where consent-based cookies are enabled, the data they collect will be transferred to those jurisdictions. The safeguards applicable to such transfers are described in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. Where a change introduces a new category of cookie or a new provider, we will seek fresh consent before that technology is loaded. The current version and its effective date are published on the Platform.
